Purses - can we ever have too many?
Today I wanted to share with you a wonderful video on one of Stampin' Up!'s great new dies, the Petite Purse Bigz L Die. It's such a simple purse to create and can be embellished to fit any style or taste. A perfect little package for any occasion, dress it up, dress it down - they always turn out darling!
I recently created 125 little purses for a women's luncheon, filled them with candy, and they went together quickly and simply. Want to go shopping? Click here!

Just a Note
A little embossing, a little tuille, a button and some pearls. This card was created using Twitterpated DSP, Basic Grey, Lucky Limeade and Baja Breeze.
I'm off to Canada for a few days to be with family and to visit my sister's scrapbooking store, Scrap and Bean, in Edmonton, AB for the first time! Want to visit with me - click here!
I'll be right back to creating and posting when I return.

Happy Anniversary!
Happy Anniversary, honey! It's 37 years! Here's the man that I love to spend time with, who has helped raise our family and who gives me lots of Stampin' Up! time! It's been a wonderful journey and you are an incredible soul mate.... who could ask for more? Smooches to you!
And now for the card! I wanted something masculine without all the hearts and "stuff". I took the saying from Pinterest (sigh!), printed it up, and created a banner from each line. I'm happy!
To create a little "lift" in the center of each banner, I double stacked Dimensionals.

Homegrown
Homegrown is one of the retiring stamp sets - I've always liked it in crisp colors, and now that it's not going to be around, it deserves another card or two, or three or....
I didn't have time to make what I really wanted to, which is a plain grocery tote that has G R O C E R Y at the bottom in very large font and trade the O out for this great artichoke stamp. Wouldn't that be cute?
Or, how about recipe cards, or a bookmark along with a gardening book to a friend or just another set of these graphic cards. There's a great tomato, a radish and an onion - sounds like a good salad to me!

I Don't Know Why You Say Good-bye, I Say Hello!

Stampin' Up! does such a wonderful job of staying up to date with their entire product line. So, once again it's time to say "good-bye" to some of their product to allow us to say "hello" to the new!

Brittyn's Artwork!
I just had to share this delightful drawing, created by our grandson, Brittyn, when he was five! His creations have become much more elaborate and now at eight he's quite the artist! I'd love to have some stamps made from his artwork - I seriously need to look into that.
And here he is along with one of his most recent pieces. He has a notebook he fills with pictures. He uses up all the space so well. Even on this page he will go back and fill in a few more drawings until it's absolutely full. Proud of you, buddy!

A Vintage Version of "Cupcakes, Whirligigs and Sweets"
A wonderful Saturday morning to you! I love long weekends and with my current work schedule I have one every weekend.... so no excuse not to have some new projects for you!
A month or so ago I offered my very first tutorial - with the promise that I would be showing it in completely different papers. Well, yesterday was the day to work on that, so today here it is!
I decided to use Mocha Morning DSP (because I love, love it!) and have been feeling rather "vintagey", so here's what I decided to create. I traded the diamonds for pearls, brights for neutrals, flowers for stars, and added a little froufrou!
It's an assortment that would be great as thank you's, birthday, Mother's Day or just "thinking about you".
So ... if you purchased the tutorial, "Cupcakes, Whirligigs & Sweets" earlier, here's another way to use it.
If not, now is your chance!

I Love, Love Tags!
I do love tags... and I love vintage.... and I love bird cages.... and I love Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake!
So put all those together and here's what you get. Now I just need a great present to add this topper to!
I love using the banner from the Petal Cone Die - it makes them so crisp and precise.
And a great little envelope is always fun - how about an unexpected little note inside? Cute, cute!

A Vintage Thank you!
Every once in a while I get in the mood for something vintagey - fancy, dancy.... if you will. And today this is it! I love the Flirtatious DSP and especially love the pages of doilies. However, the pink and orange don't always do it for me! So I usually use the white side and distress it a bit with Crumb Cake ink (love that color!).
For this card I adhered the doilies to Crumb Cake card stock and then embossed them using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder (another favorite).
Oh, just a note.... I actually cut my butterfly stamp apart as I found I was using it more often individually or stacked as shown here. I don't think there's a rule!
Enjoy the close-ups!
