Thankful for ....

Thankful for...
crisp autumn air
fat yellow pumpkins
caramel apples
sweaters and mittens
leather boots
rainy days
pumpkin spice lattes
and you!

These sweet pumpkins which come from a photopolymer stamp set, Fall Fest, come with their own Thinlits for easy die-cutting.

Curled Old Olive leaves from Kinda Eclectic are a perfect accent for an autumn card. Stamp a few for the background and then fussy-cut a couple extra, curl with your Bone Folder and adhere them with a few Glue Dots.

The Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder, embossed only on the upper and lower edges of the card leave a neat blank canvas for stamping your sentiment.

How'd she do that? Simply emboss as usual running it through your Big Shot an inch or two from the bottom, turn the embossing folder around and emboss an inch or two from the top. Tada, a perfectly smooth area of cardstock to stamp on!

October's Class

Would you like to see my October Stamp, Snack and Chat Class?
I have two this month, October 9th and 10th, and I'm so excited about it! I've got such a great group of gals that are so fun to stamp with and it's always a great evening (or morning!) of creativity, conversation (oh, yeah!) and just good times. If you are in the Boise area, and would like to join us, email me at stampsnsmiles@gmail.com

Let's get ready for Thanksgiving... a sweet embossed pumpkin that holds some treats (a given at any of my classes) and can be used as a dinner table gift or place card. Burlap and felt leaves give it a warm feeling and topped off with the new chunky twine - you'll want to make a dozen!

Tags - this time of year requires tags. For all the holiday gifts, large or small. Pumpkin bread wrapped in a new autumn dish towel (don't you just love getting new dish towels?) and then topped with a sweet tag. We'll make a few in class.

Another look at the card we'll be creating with Gold Embossing and finished off with a watercolor background. This stamp set is just flat out gorgeous and has three sentiments that will see you right through Valentine's Day.

So in a nutshell, here's what the class consists of:
Two cards (the other one is a surprise!)
A sweet pumpkin full of treats
Three tags
A door prize
And always a little gift for coming!

Thursday, October 9th,  6:30 - 8 pm
or
Friday, October 10th, 10 - 11:30 am
Class fee: $10 includes all pre-cut supplies
or free with a $25 Stampin' Up! order

Here are some of the products we'll be using:

Wanna Glamp?

I'm in love!
Is this not the cutest little glamper, ever?

I just had to share some fun, fun pics from an inspiring Friday evening outing with my daughter, Kirsten and daughter-in-law, Todesa. We attended the Roses and Rust Market here in Boise - first time for us, and found some great things to spend our $$'s on. Actually, it was to celebrate Todesa's birthday ..... along with dinner out at the Villages.

So, I came across this sweet glamper all decked out and am now on a mission to find one to restore. Have any of you attempted something like this?

Seriously, look at the "bedroom"! Sweet as can be!

Almost a kitchen, lol!

Looking forward to a few more fun shopping trips this fall!

Hello, My Friend

I love this stamp set, Tap, Tap, Tap, and I really, really love the idea of the little tag coming out of it!
This delightful card was given to me by my good friend and Stampin' Up! upline, Becky Roberts. She's amazing,, as are all of her creations which can be seen here at inkingidaho.

Using the awesome Typeset Designer Series Paper as a backdrop, Real Red and Crumb Cake are the perfect color combo!

A sweet heart tag adds a fun element - like a little surprise!
As we have fun building our Stampin' Up! businesses, online or in person, it's the relationships that come to mean the most. Click here to discover the benefits of being part of my Stampin' Up! team.

Make Today!

I decided to take the Amazing Birthday stamp set into fall with me today and create it in all those gorgeous warm colors that this time of year introduces us to again.
Went for a refreshing walk along the Boise River with the hubs this afternoon and it was exciting to see some of the leaves getting dressed up in their gold and red. I love this time of year!

As autumn makes it's debut, the lighting changes for picture taking and I am so delighted to find a new spot where I can photograph my creations - by my kitchen sink window!  I created a tag of my own to stamp the sentiment on this time. I just love tags! How about you?

Happy Halloween!

So, what do you think of these little bats from Freaky Friends? Halloween-ish enough?
This card still needs a saying tho', don't you think? I'll have to go back and add one on, but for now this is it.

I created the "window" by stamping the wavy pattern from the Chalk Lines stamp set, punching it out in 1" squares and setting it on top of a Basic Black square.. The background texture is created using the Tiny Triangle Embossing Folder.

Have you started your Halloween cards yet? The new Holiday Catalog offers some great ones! Order yours here today.

Goulish Greetings from your Freaky Little Friends

Freaky Little Friends
Stopping by on this beautiful Saturday afternoon
(oh, I'm hoping you're having great weather also!)
with a Ghoulish Greeting from your Freaky Little Friends. Aren't these little characters the best?

I used the Banner Framelit to create a space to add the stamped banner and then curled the edges up a bit. A little black thread thro' the buttons, to pick up on the black, finishes it off nicely. Or so it seems to me!

And, here they appear again, stacked up, ready to go.
To add some interest to this card, I first embossed a piece of Whisper White card stock (my favorite card stock of all time!) and then simply tore a piece to add as a backdrop.

Just a little bit of edginess to an otherwise almost "too nice" Halloween card. Sorry, I'm just not into the really dark side of the occasion.

What are you doing with Freaky Friends? Oh, just wait 'til next week, there's more~

meanwhile.... purchase your Freaky Friends here!

A Bunch of Guy Cards!

So, I thought I would give you the whole enchilada today. Yep, the entire set of guy cards and a tag I made using the Amazing Birthday stamp set. I love how versatile this stamp set is! It's a great set that can work for any age and hop right into Thanksgiving or a thank-you note with its "thankful banner".

The Banner Framelit works perfectly for this. Stamp one, punch one, emboss one and DSP one!

Oh, do you love this newTypeset DSP as much as I do? It's almost a vellum and is beyootiful! A sweet tab stapled to the top and a little extra punch with the starburst from Kinda Eclectic. You absolutely must have that set in your collection!

The Banners Framelit makes easy work of this tag and card. A little bit of typeset from Kinda Eclectic creates great background interest for a "chalkboard" tag.

Bling it up with a few Silver stars.
