Inking Everything Blog Hop!

Thank you for following along with
our Inking Everything Blog Hop -
we're so glad you're here!
Getting a little crafty on a Thanksgiving weekend!

So, as I was looking at all the packaging goodies in the Stampin' Up! catalog (and there are many!) I decided to focus on the Polka Dot Gift Bag  - just a simple, sweet flat bag but, wow, it can be transformed into so many fun projects.

By simply scoring at 1" along the bottom and both sides, you suddenly have this sweet bag that is large enough to hold amazing treats. Dress it up with striped ribbon, an embellishment, a tag and a tiny clothespin. It takes about ten minutes and you have a darling gift bag.

Check out my FB page here to see another fun project with the Polka Dot Gift Bag.

Happy as a Bird with a French Fry

Love this little French Fry Box and candy French Fries add to the happy!

There are so many, many way to use this great little box but this is one of my favorite.

For the French Fries: Very Vanilla cardstock cut into 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" strips - score every 1/2" along the short side and then run through a Crimper (so glad I kept mine!)
Sponge with Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight ink and use Sticky Strip to adhere closed. These go together so quickly.

I added a roll of Smarties inside of each fry but I have a hunch rolled up dollar bills (or tens, twenties, fifties) would get a big woo-hoo at Christmas time also!

Extra cool - the stamp set Yippee-Skippee comes as clear or wood mount or as a digital download - so no waiting if you need to make one today!

From Our Home to Yours

Holiday Home and it's coordinating die, Homeade Holidays have to be one of the sweetest sets in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog .... it is so versatile, discounted when purchased as a bundle and easily used year-round.

But this time for Christmas - or leave off the "at Christmastime" and it can be for any wintery occasion.

I had ever so much fun with this one -
here's the order in which I created it.

Before you begin, and in between each stamping, be sure to use your Embossing Buddy to keep your embossing where you want it to be!

1) Using Versamark ink, stamp the house on the lower right hand side of Whisper White cardstock, cut 4" x 5-1/4". It's the top of a three layer card.
2) Emboss the house using White Embossing Powder.
3) Die cut the house using Home for the Holiday Framelits.
4) Shade in the windows, bricks and roofline using Coastal Cabana Blendabilities (or Stampin' Write Markers) and set aside for now.
5) Using Versamark ink stamp your sentiment on the lower left hand side of the card. Heat emboss using Silver Embossing Powder.
6) Emboss the top part only of the cardstock using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and the Big Shot!
7) Using the Versamark stamp pad, add Versamark randomly over the embossed area. No right or wrong on this step!
8) Heat emboss dotted area using Whisper White Embossing Powder. This give it a frosty kind of look.
9) Using a Stampin' Sponge and Coastal Cabana ink, add color over the lower center part of the card.
10) Add Frosted Sequins and tiny Pearls using Glue Dots.
11) Assemble card using Stampin' Dimensionals - two layers under the house and offset it just a tad for a nice shadow effect.

Here are some products you will use. Order them 24/7 online here and receive a thank you gift in the mail!

Autumn Wooden Elements

Today I have for you a simple card with just a tad of stamping but it packs a beautiful punch!

I was delighted to discover that two of the leaves included in the Fall Fest Framelits set actually are identical to two of the leaves in Autumn Wooden Elements .... kind of wondering what happened to the others, but I'll take what I have, I suppose.

I laid out the initial concept using the wooden elements to make sure their little stems didn't get all tangled up together.

I'm happy with "hello Fall" popped up on an oval - but I'll admit it was to cover my embossing goof up!  I got so excited with the idea of the card that I broke my golden rule of "stamp first!" and I wasn't about to toss it. So I just covered it up.

The card base is created using Crumb Cake card stock. I then added a layer of Very Vanilla which I just hand cut into a swoopy kind of deal.

Using your Magnetic Platform, which nicely holds your Framelits in place, begin cutting your leaves along the curve as shown .If you don't have one of these babies yet, how do you live without it? Put it on your Christmas list!

Rather interesting looking until you adhere it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals (pretty much my best stamping friend!) and then add on your wooden leaves.

And look how sweetly they just fit in there - lovin' it! Now how about creating one with card stock leaves .... or a little DSP or ..... perhaps I'll be back with a few other ideas for you soon.

And about that Magnetic Platform - order it here!

Inking Everything Blog Hop!

Happy wonderful fall!
It's November and we're steeped in the middle of crisp nights, sunny days, leaves crunching underfoot and warm sweaters. What a spectacular time of year! The only way it could be better is with an amazing blog hop for your inspiration!
So here it is .... enjoy my fall card and then be sure to follow along with Raquelle's creations below.

So I wanted to re-create leaves falling gently from the trees in this card to give the feeling of autumn and all that it holds - truly my favorite time of year! Well, until spring comes at least.

Leaves - quickly cut out using the Fall Fest Framelit Dies
(it comes with a variety of leaves) and the Big Shot! popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals which make them kind of float on the card.

Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper adds the perfect fall touch to the background. A few Candy Dots to add some festivity and it's easy to "give thanks for all things"!
