An Epic Ten Minute Tuesday

Something new again for Ten Minute Tuesday....
just DSP, stickers and washi tape.

I am so lovin' the new Epic Day Designer Series Paper, washi tape and the wonderful set of stickers that come as part of the This and That Bundle that I completely changed my mind about what I was going to share today. (Oh, the gift tags were cute, cute all right - but the photos not so much)

I thought this made a great masculine card. The sticker is framed with Basic Grey card stock and the front of the card is dressed up with paper piercing.... no stamping, no bling!

Basic Grey card stock 5" x 7", folded in half
Epic Day DSP 3-3/8" x 4-7/8"
Sticker backed with Basic Grey card stock

Using the Paper Piercing Pack, pierce four rows through the DSP as shown. I laid the sticker there just to help with placement. Adhere pierced DSP to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals - ditto with the framed sticker.

For this card I used the washi tape and a 'You Make Me Smile' sticker that is part of the This and That Bundle. Three Daffodil Delight brads and it's done!

I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack to help line up the brads evenly.... I pierced every third hole so they'd be spaced nicely.

Sneak Preview of April's Mocha Monday

Pretty, isn't it?

Here's just a sneak peek of my Mocha Monday class for April. Mother's Day is just around the corner, so this class is going to be feminine, flowery and perfect for Mom.

Create three projects that will have you completely prepared for Mother's Day for only $5. How sweet is that?

I've chosen my favorite stamp sets to use along with new techniques for embossing folders, a little gold embossing and.... well, as I said, this is just a preview so I don't want to give it all away.

I'm going to have two classes this month -

I'd love to have you join me....

Congratulations and Mystery Hostess Weekend

Some of my favorite colors....

Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight are my go-to colors when I want to make a bright, happy-go-lucky type of card.

This morning I wanted to make a bright summery card that would lift the spirits of whomever received it.
Congratulations are for any occasion -
losing five pounds, finishing a project, making a tough decision or just 'for being my best friend'.

I love the new photopolymer stamps that Stampin' Up! is  coming out with (please keep them coming!) This pennant banner can be curved any way you choose and adheres so well to the Clear Acrylic Blocks.  You will need Size I for this particular stamp.

And, today through Monday @ 11:50 pm are free shipping days!
That's right - any order, any size, qualifies for free shipping - directly to you!! That's a fantastic savings and the perfect time to purchase the products you have on your 'I need, I want' list.

As an added bonus, I will be choosing a mystery hostess for the weekend. On Tuesday morning when the totals are in, I will choose from those who placed orders through me over the weekend to receive the hostess benefits. No order is too small for free shipping or to participate in the hostess drawing.

Place your order online here and use the Hostess Code WXEYMCUQ. This will allow all the orders to be combined for a total - just like a party!

If your personal order is $150 or over.... place your order here and DO NOT use the hostess code. You will qualify for your own $25.00 of free merchandise! Now, how fun is that?

This and That .... my way!

So.... do you recognize this?

You're right - it's the journal/album from the new
This and That bundle!
It includes:
- a wonderful journal
- a date stamp
- washi tape
- Designer Series Paper
- stickers and tags
- a bundle of fun!

Disclaimer - project shown is a work in progress, not the finished deal. Subject to change at the whim of the creator, so keep posted as I'll give updates from time to time.
(I think that middle tag is going to come off, it just does not make me smile!)

I've just started creating my journal, well, part of the front cover, anyway. Journals are journeys, aren't they? And that's what this is....
I decided to create it about myself. I've never done such a personal project before and so this is a bit of a stretch for me, but I'm excited and thought I would use only my favorite stamp sets and embellishments to dress it up.

The "I am", "creative" and "fabulous" come from a stamp set that we received free at the 2012 Stampin' Up! convention. It was exclusive to that event and one of my favorite.

Have you ever thought about attending the Stampin' Up! convention in Salt Lake City?  It appears they will be opening it up to guests again this year, so you don't need to be a demonstrator to join in the fun. It's a couple of fast-paced days full of information, creativity, fun, lots of free product and friendships. You will not be disappointed!

Sent With Love...

Stopping in today with a couple of love notes created using the tags from the Sent With Love Bundle. I love both sides of this particular sheet of DSP, tags on one side and Calypso Coral Polka Dots on the other, so what to do? Order an extra package and then I have two sheets of each.... how simple is that?

Just a few banners added to the tag and we're done - oh, how I love simple! This bundle is available until April 30th @ 20% off. View the flyer here.

Then I decided to create my own postcard. It's the size of an A2 card and I don't think there would be any problem mailing it as a postcard, but I'll have to check with my wondeful gals that work at the local Post Office. It always helps to have good friends in the postal service when you're forever mailing things that don't fall into everyone else's guidelines, lol! If it's not mailable I'll just pop it in a clear envelope... almost the same thing, right?

I created my own collage on the back of the postcard using the coordinating stamp set along with a couple of images from The Open Sea stamp set.

Now I don't have any pull at the Stampin' Up! office, but.... you would think so if you took a look at the sheet of Sent With Love DSP that looks like a map. It shows the cities where we born and the places we've lived and all of our relatives live! How fun is that? . I've shown a few of them; Prince George (my husband's birthplace and where we first lived after we were married) Whitehorse (our oldest daughter was born and we lived for two years) and Boise (where we live now... well, almost) It also shows Edmonton where my sister owns a scrapbooking store, Scrap and Beans. If you live near there, stop in and give her a hug for me!

Ten Minute Tuesday

Silver embossing and Epic Day Designer Series Paper create a simple, stunning card. It's difficult to see in this picture, but I scored between the sections of DSP.
You will need:
             Very Vanilla card stock        (1) 4-1/4" x 11
             Epic Day DSP                     (1) 1/2" x 4"
                                                        (1) 3/4" x 4"
                                                        (3) 1-1/4" squares
             Versamarker or light colored
             Stampin' Marker
             Silver Embossing Powder
             Heat Tool
             Embossing Buddy

Start the timer, please....

1. Fold Very Vanilla card stock in half, crease with Bone
    Folder.

2. Score lower edge of card front at 1/4" and 1-3/4" using
    the Simply Scored Tool.

3. Adhere three 1-1/4" squares of DSP between score lines
   using Stampin' Dimensionals.

4. Onto DSP, 3/4" x 4" stamp "THANKS" by inking up only
the "THANKS" from the sentiment in Oh, Hello 130730.
I was fortunate to still have a Versamarker, but you can
use any light colored Stampin' Up! Marker.

5. Emboss using Silver Embossing Powder. Adhere just
above score line on card front using Snail Adhesive.

6. Adhere DSP, 1/2" x 4" above embossed piece using
    Stampin' Dimensionals. You're done!
Did you notice the little plane? I stamped it onto the DSP because of the person I'm giving this card to.

And here's one done from the top down... I love this new Epic Day DSP - see more about it here!
