Inking Everything with Becky!

Guess what! It's time! Time for a brand new live session of Inking Everything with Becky! All the fun begins on June 18th - check it out now at Becky's site.

It's days of new projects, tutorial and ideas from the 2012 Stampin' Up! catalog. So, it's all brand new! I'll be there and hope to see you there also.

And now.... a simple little "love note"

These were inspired from some coasters that I saw on Pinterest. I made use of three embossing folders  and added an embossed heart to each. About five minutes each! 

Begin with Crumb Cake card stock, 3" x 6", folded in half to create a 3" x 3" card. Round all four corners using the 3/16" Corner Punch.

Cut a 3" square of complementing card stock - I used Lucky Limeade, Tangerine Tango and Pool Party. Round all four corners using the 3/16"Corner Punch. Cut in half vertically and adhere to card front.

Using Crumb Cake card stock and the Fashionable Hearts Embosslits folder, create hearts. Adhere with Glue Dots. Pop on a Rhinestone and you're done!  Simple, simple. 

Envelope: Using the Simply Scored Tool and Diagonal Plate, begin with a 5" square of DSP. Score diagonally at 2-1/4" on all four sides. Fold both sides in, fold lower side up and adhere. Round corner flap using the 3/16" Corner punch and now you have your great little package.

Summer Starfruit!

Alrighty! I found them! I posted the other day that I would love to find a top and sandals in Summer Starfruit. Well, I took Monday off as a shopping day and look what I found - sandals and a top in just the right color! I'm so wearing them to convention!  I also picked up a belt that will help tie it together with anything navy (or any other color!)

I also found my Paris stamp! Oh, yeah! It somehow snuck into one of my other stamp sets... but it couldn't hide forever! And, it inspired me to clean my Stampin' room.

I love this little stamp - so here's my card in honor of Summer Starfruit and Paris!

I embossed the background stamp from Postage Due with White embossing powder.

Added Stitched Satin Ribbon in Summer Starfruit bordered with a Finishing Touches Edgelit. And what is Paris if it doesn't have a little bling - so two Pearls to anchor the lower edge.

How did I do the edge, you ask? Just scored it extra hard and tore the excess off! I rather like the look.

Blooming with Kindness

Oh, I had fun with this one! I just had this urge to layer a few things, go floral, you know the feeling!

Blooming with Kindness is a beautiful new stamp - I love the flower and it's companioned with some wonderful sentiments. The Bird Builder punch is always waiting to be used, this time with the sentiment stamped right on the bird. The great Paris stamp comes from Postage Due.

A little Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin ribbon tied in a bow and, lastly, I managed to cover up most of the embossing - but it's the best little folder ever!

The tag comes from the Labels Collection Framelits - I just trimmed the sides, stamped it, embossed it and then added a touch of paper-piercing. A wonderful new Vintage Faceted Designer Button and we're done. Likin' it, likin' it!

Okay, now for the sad part! I lost my great little Paris postage stamp - and I've only used it once! Seriously,  I can't find it anywhere. Yep, I checked the wastebasket, the floor, you name it. I know it's somewhere - maybe it's a sign I need to clean my stampin' room!

Lacy & Lovely

As promised here is another card using Lacy & Lovely - this time just with the background embellishment stamped in Midnight Muse. I used just a square of Patio Party DSP - I really need to always have a package I can just look at, cause sometimes it's just hard to start cutting!

I love how the new stamp pads create such a clear image!

Patio Party Hello!

A brand new Designer Series Paper - Patio Party! Sounds like fun, doesn't it? Well, it is!

I so want a pair of shoes in this new color, Summer Starfruit. Being a winter I can't really wear it, but I'm thinking a navy sweater with a top in this great polka dot and then shoes to match! I'm going shopping!

It'a quick card that's a tad funky! The "Hello" (which I love!) comes from the new stamp set Lacy & Lovely - another card coming from that set tomorrow! Patio Party DSP and Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon is all that's added - no fancy embellishments. I enhanced the envelope with matching DSP for a customized feel.

Have you used the Color Coach yet? It's a fantastic tool featured on page 151 of the 2012 Annual Catalog and shown in picture above. It helps you enhance your color-ability! They've already combined colors that work great together, so the thinking is all done for you. Use the Color Coach for more than just cards - home decor, clothing, accessories, etc.

Blooming with Kindness

A beautiful new set called Blooming with Kindness - what a pretty name! Did you notice the saying? "Hope is a wish with a little more clout." I love it!

I began this card by stamping the  flower randomly onto Crumb Cake card stock, heat embossed it in White and then further embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. It was trimmed with the Finishing Touches Edgelit.

I stamped the flower again using Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White card stock, die cut it using the Labels Collections Framelit. To frame it , I used the same size Labels Collections Framelit, die cut from Whisper White card stock, which I then ran through the Big Shot! one more time centering the next smaller Framelit inside. I took just the frame it created, embossed it using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder and adhered it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment - it's using the smallest die in the Apothecary Accents Framelit, which I then recut as pictured below. Embellish with a new Vintage Faceted Designer Button tied with Linen Thread.

First stamp the sentiment using Early Espresso ink onto Whisper White card stock with a flower from Everything Eleanor in Crumb Cake.  Die cut centering the sentiment in the lower portion of the die. Recut by moving the die down on the sentiment as shown. You've just created a brand new shape!
