Two little birds on a line....

Two little birds on a line .....

Here's a card I pulled from my archives since guess what I did yesterday?

The Demise of a Very Good Friend

It was two days before a new tutorial,
Was about to come out.
Everything was clicking
and calm all about.

Then she decided
To try something new-
Too many layers
She knew, oh, she knew.

But you know how it goes
Just this once it will work
Til "kapow"!
And so sadly

Her Big Shot! was broke!

Note:
A new one is on the way and I have a loaner til then, so things are looking up for my new Christmas tutorial being online Saturday. But, please, treat your Big Shot! with more care than I did mine.... it's just so sad.

I die cut a Top Note, embossed it with Northern Flurry and then cut it in half diagonally and placed a strip of Basic Black card stock under it to create the black line. Not sure why I didn't draw a line with a Sharpie but, oh well, you might want to do that to make it simpler.

I colored the Rhinestones with a red Sharpie - it works well with Pearls also.

Here's a sneak peek of what's coming Saturday!

And a look at two of this week's new digital downloads. I love the Merry Woodcuts! See them online here.

And remember the little purses from yesterdays post? Well, I had so much fun last night getting together with some girlfriends to sew "real" purses. So tho't I'd share a pic of mine - I'm so happy with it!  Just look at that great dangly button trim - I'm in love!

And of course I had to come home and make a little Paris purse - isn't it just the cutest! (not really a question, just a statement, hah! We all know cute when we see it!)

You know, if I could choose a dream vacation it would be to go to Paris with my daughters, daughter-in-law and two grand-daughters. What fun that would be! I can just imagine having a coffee together at some little bistro before walking past the most amazing shops.... aahh! We'd even let the guys come if they'd like! Perhaps some day!

Find the free tutorial for the purse at yesterday's blog post.

Mocha Monday Tutorial - now available!

Remember this trio?
It was our project at Mocha Monday this morning (we had a fabulous time!) and I have had many requests for a tutorial for it from stampers who live too far to attend - like around the world! So, I've finished it up and wanted to let you know that it's available!

If you'd like to join our Mocha Monday Club online, I will be offering each months tutorial - for only $1.95!

It's a simple project, but fun and perfect for holiday gift giving! It goes together quickly - we finished it up easily within the hour and had time to chat and coffee.

It's a seven page tutorial, with step-by-step instructions and pictures and includes a standard size card, an apple cider (hot chocolate) holder and the caramel apple is holding..... of course caramels. Switch it out for Christmas papers and it will be perfect for teacher gifts or stocking-stuffers.

Pumpkin Bread Welcome & Thank You!

I've been having a great time making tags lately! And they came in handy today when delivering Pumpkin Bread (chocolate chip pumpkin bread!) to one new neighbor as a welcome.....

and another as a thank you!

Seven years ago yesterday we moved into our home here in Idaho. Halloween and the fixings weren't very high on our list of priorities that first day.
A kind neighbor saw our children walking home from the bus stop, and offered to share her collection of costumes with them. She outfitted all six of our kids and then invited them along on a hay wagon ride through our neighborhood to trick-or-treat. How kind and what fun!

A closer look at the tags - I think I could truly create tags all day long! How about you?

Happy Fall!
